3381 code on Slew Drive

According to ABB drive manual

Code: 3381

Fault: Output phase loss
Programmable fault: 31.19

Probable Cause: Motor phase loss
Motor circuit fault due to
missing motor connection (all
three phases are not
connected).

What to do:  Connect motor cable.

K600M contactor was not energizing

When attempting to swing crane shutters but does not move

Crane will not swing at start up, but will kick out of weathervane.  Manually lift swing brake and attempt swing again, and crane will swing normally, however will not brake normally.

Look for +20VDC at V100F, and verified.  Look for +20VDC at K600M #7 and verified.  Found no voltage at K600M #8.  Although contactor was energized, contacts were not closed.  Replace K600M.

**Note** this was specifically on a Hup 32-27 which only has 1 swing motor.  Condition may be different with 2 swing motors on Hup 40-30

Transition 4

When operator would stop swinging, the Slew Drive would shut off just before or just after the brake would set.  NO active faults, but fault history showed code 00011.10002 Transition 4.

Verified DIIL input to slew drive.

Per Refik, changed Parameter 21.01 (21 – Start/stop mode .01 – Start mode) in drive from “Automatic” to “Constant Time”

Slew Drive Faults with code 7510 at Start Up

This is similar to the service post found here:

Slew Drive shuts off during acceleration

However in this instance, isolating the Slew Drive by disconnecting hoist drive and trolley drive from the CAN system did not help.  Checked for 60ohms on the CAN Hi and CAN Lo .  This should confirm that the jumpers in both of the erection jumper plugs are there and correct.  Found CANOpen card was not operating correctly.

Unplugged and plugged back in the CANOpen card and plug.  Unplug and replug the memory stick back in.  No change.  Replace memory stick and drive came back up on line.

Multiquip generator starts and dies immediately

After cranking the first time, the Overcrank and Overspeed lights come on.  When attempting to restart, only Overcrank and Overspeed lights come on, but the generator will not crank. Opening the control panel, can flip the switch Maintenance mode and generator starts, but will not shut off.  The 15 amp mini blade fuse behind the control panel is blown.
